As the name sounds. A true definition will be a great dhaba style food. And trust me a great to quench your thirst with a big glass of yogurt drink, your full course hunger and a lot of delicious indian sweets. Indian food when it is served hot and with lot of flavor it blows your mind and thats what happened. They told us we make food from scratch so will take 1/2 n hr and we were like ok if i go anywhere it will be definitely same time so we sat in hunger. And ordered shahi panner and chicken makani chicken tikka and bunch of parathas. And in the mean time the restaurant didn't stop. They had at least 40-50 customers like in and out for to go orders for their thali (which was cheap as hell). After 30 mins the food started to arrive and i was blown with the aroma. It smelled and tasted phenomenal. Omg!!!!! Every bite i was relishing the flavor and got up so full that needed bed like right away lol!!! Look wise 3/5 food 10/5 and service I thought could be better with smiling people but ( who cares) if they give you great food. Will stop by when I am in Toronto again.

Taste of Punjab is one of our favorite Indian reataurants in Brampton. Their gravies are unique and food very delicious. I think they have the best chole batura in the city! This is a small restaurant and easy to miss, but definitely worth visiting!

Definitely more than a 3.5, FOR SURE! Taste of Punjab came highly recommended by a friend and I finally got a chance to try it out.
It is just North of the Airport, in an industrial area, so keep that in mind when you head out. There's nothing really in this area, unless you're attending the Hindu Temple OR an event at the banquet hall next-door.
I ordered the Goat Biryani (you can choose level of spice, ~$13) and Butter Chicken ($10) was recommended by server who said that it's completely different than other places that makes this dish sweet. It definitely was not sweet, but more on the tart side and spicier! Biryani was "wetter" than Hyderabadi-style biryani. Both dishes were really tasty and there were leftovers of both dishes.
Server was lovely. Atmosphere was a bit quiet for a Monday evening, but a few pick-ups and diners. Pretty chill place, as opposed to hectic.
Other than the industrial location, the only thing that I'd take note of is that food came 15-20mins after ordering. I believe that everything is made to order hence the wait time, so do not come here a hungry, hungry hippo! -

We were driving from Niagara Falls to Montreal today and took an exit for an Indian restaurant a few miles off the freeway. As soon as we took a left on Dixie, we came across several Indian places and picked Taste of Punjab. We loved the butter chicken, masala fish and the non veg Thali lunch. I would highly recommend the Thali ( veg or non veg) if you would like a few items in a smaller quantity

This is an excellent place for traditional punjabi cuisine. We were a party of 6 and had dine in. Everyone enjoyed their foood immensely. Chicken curry and the shrimp masala were incredible from what I recall and everyone enjoyed the veggie dishes as well. We will be going back for sure!
